The Olive Tree Pair (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or place an order, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. 1. Information we collect

When you place an order or contact us, we collect the information you provide directly, which may include:

• Your name and email address
• Your phone number
• Your delivery address and postcode (if you choose delivery)
• Details of the items you order

We do not collect or store your payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider, Stripe - see “Third parties” below.

2. How we use your information

We use your information only to:

• Process and fulfil your order, including arranging delivery or collection
• Send you order confirmations and updates about your purchase
• Respond to questions or requests you send us
• Meet our legal and accounting obligations (e.g. keeping records of sales)

We do not use your information for marketing emails or sell it to anyone.

3. Third parties we work with

To run the website and fulfil orders, we share limited information with a small number of trusted service providers, who process it on our behalf:

• Stripe - securely processes your payment. We never see or store your full card details.
• Resend - sends order confirmation emails to you and notifies us of new orders.
• postcodes.io - a free public UK postcode lookup service used to validate addresses and estimate delivery costs (only your postcode is sent to it; this service does not receive your name or contact details).

These providers only use your information to provide their service to us and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.

4. Cookies & tracking

This website does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Your browser may store a small piece of local information to remember whether an order confirmation has already been sent, purely to avoid duplicate emails - this never leaves your device. Stripe’s secure checkout page (hosted on stripe.com) may set its own cookies in line with its own privacy policy.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep order and customer information only for as long as necessary to fulfil your order, handle any after-sales questions, and meet our legal and tax obligations (typically up to 6 years for financial records), after which it is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it for legal reasons
• Object to or restrict how we use your information

To exercise any of these rights, email us at ray@theolivetreepair.com and we’ll get back to you. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your data has been mishandled.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
